Who am I

Johanna Wagner Johanna was born and grew up in Sweden with a Swedish father and an English mother. In 2007 she moved to Scotland to commence film studies at the university. In 2008 she completed a creative documentary, The Inner Shape. In 2009 she completed a short documentary film, Peter in Radioland, funded by the scheme program Bridging the Gap, Scotland run by Scottish Documentary Institute. In 2010 she graduated with a Master of Art’s Degree in Film Directing at Edinburgh College of Art. Her graduation film was a short experimental fiction, Danaus Gilippus.

Johanna has for the last four years also worked as a freelance director, editor and cinematographer and she has done videos for among others theatre companies, puppet animation companies, galleries and mental health organisations. Currently Johanna is living in Berlin, Germany where she is in the process of starting up her own film production company.
